We started with the kitchen. Sounds simple enough. Nope. We ripped out walls and ceiling to the studs. (no insulation) Tore out a chimney, staircase, bathroom and half a bedroom. We relocated the stairs in then living room, now entry way. Where did we live while all this was going on? Here! Oh yes. Who else was going to clean up the mess at the end of the day?
