Meow

I don't know if y'all know this but we used to have a cat. He (Hobbes) was wonderful, funny, a cat to beat all cats, a dog trapped in a cats body. We all loved him. (even Dean) Well 'ole Hobbes was an adopted barn cat from Nebraska and we felt bad about keeping him inside all the time. Plus, he was a fantastic mouser, mole hunter, and the odd sparrow if they got too close. Sadly, but probably predictably, he was hit by a car in May. We were all so sad. We all swore we never wanted another cat (Dean I'm sure was secretly relieved) but somehow the house just seemed empty. We couldn't get back to Nebraska to get another kitten, and we didn't want some tame lazy Seattle cat...but we kept looking. Finally we found an ad for a kitten who, after a long interview with the owners, was supposed to be crazy and fun. We drove to Lakewood to pick her up. She was only 6 weeks old and exactly what we were looking for. So now we have Hootie. A crazy, wild, fun girl (who is being trained by our dog Bessie to be a puppy) to fill that cat void in our lives. Poor Dean, I think he was hoping for fish...

I am glad to hear that your cat gets trained to act like a dog. I can only imagine how good that would work if someone is trying to break in the house and some little cat starts barking at them, I would imagine they would probably pee their pants in fear.
