Sam won the award for most miles run for the entire school. 63 miles. This was all done at recess two days per week. I am very proud of his dedication and goal setting. He wanted to leave school on top...and he did. Second place was his buddy Sage with 51 miles. Sage wouldn't have run one mile without Sam let alone 51...so we are also so proud of him for setting such a good example. The middle school kids are allowed to practice with the high school cross country team. Sam is thinking it over, but he has all the makings of a fantastic runner!

Sam, the most miles run, that is really cool. I don't think I have run 63 miles in my life. Maybe once when the Indians were after me.
